World’s leading technology giant Microsoft Corp has publicly affirmed the Windows 10 November Update as its Current Branch for Business (CBB) release. The new move means that the update will be considered as the most up to date authoritatively sanctioned stable build for usage in the business world. It is known that CBB was delivered in last year as the CBB release of the operating system. Windows 10 version 1511 feature update (build 10586) is also famous as the Windows 10 November Update.
“Each new Windows 10 feature update is initially considered a Current Branch release to be used by organizations for initial pilot deployments,” says Michael Niehaus, Microsoft’s director of product marketing. “The Windows 10 version 1511 feature update (build 10586), released in November 2015, has been officially declared as Current Branch for Business (CBB), ready for organizations to begin deploying broadly,” added Niehaus. “The feature update will later be declared as CBB once we have received feedback and confirmation from organizations, OEMs and partners confirming that the feature update is ready for broad deployment,” he confirmed.
Although 1511 feature update has been available since November, but the tech giant took its time and concentrated on enough feedback from testers. The company also annouced that all Windows users would be able to access updated images for Windows 10 1511 the following channels:
- Windows Update
- Windows Update for Business
- Windows Server Update Services
- Volume Licensing Service Centre
The inclusion of the March cumulative update (KB3140768) is the major difference between the new update and original Windows 10 November Update. March update has been included into the installation image.
